Social responsibility

At C-energy, we see energy not only as the heat and electricity we supply. We also see our commitment to supplying energy towards the people and the environment where we operate. We are always a reliable supplier and a good citizen in the locations where we operate. We reduce environmental impacts, support the region and its communities, and invest in the development of our people. For us, social responsibility is not a one-time activity, but a long-term commitment to transform the energy we produce into energy for help, support, and future development.

Our responsibility to the environment

Since 2012, we have invested more than CZK 3 billion in the modernization of sources.
We have reduced emissions by more than 90%.
In 2022, we became the first source of its kind in the Czech Republic to completely stop burning coal.
In 2024, we put new technologies into operation as part of the Gasification of the Tábor Heating Plant and expanded the capacity of battery storage facilities – at the time the largest in the Czech Republic.
We invest in long-term projects that will ensure sustainable and stable energy prices in the future (e.g. EVO Planá – energy use of waste from the Tábor region).

Our people and safety

C-energy employs almost 200 employees, and they are the company's biggest asset.
We invest in their education, both professional and language.
We cooperate with secondary schools and support technical fields.
Safety comes first – every day we pay attention to health protection and prevention of occupational accidents.
We regularly defend ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 certifications.

ESG and responsible business

We have been publishing an ESG report for the third year in a row – even though it is not yet a legislative obligation.
Our vision: to determine trends in the use of modern and ecological technologies, to be a reliable and fair partner for customers, employees and the region.

Responsible support for regions and communities

We supply more than just electricity and heat – we also provide hope, a helping hand and support where needed. We support sports, culture, education and the social sector.

Thanks to the funds we use to support various projects in our region, wonderful cultural and sporting events are organized, and associations and projects that bring help, relief, and hope are able to function. We help wherever it is difficult to obtain sufficient financial resources, and we are glad to be of service.
