C-energy has been awarded the Crystal Chimney 2025 by the District Heating Association of the Czech Republic as part of the Days of District Heating and Energy for its project Local Distribution System for the Public Transport Charging Depot in Tábor.
What does the project address?
As part of optimizing electricity utilization in Tábor, a local distribution system (LDS) was established. This system integrates:
- combined heat and power (CHP) units
- an electric boiler
- a battery energy storage system with an output of 8 MW and a capacity of 8 MWh
The LDS is also connected to the adjacent premises of Comett Plus, which operates electrified public transport in the city of Tábor.
Integration of key energy technologies
The project combines several core energy technologies into a unified system:
- integration of CHP units, electric boiler, and battery storage
- a dedicated local distribution system
- battery energy storage
These assets are centrally managed within the LDS, enabling real-time optimization and efficient energy utilization.
Modern energy in practice
The awarded project is a clear example of how different energy technologies can be effectively integrated into a single, fully functional system.
Looking ahead
The award confirms that C-energy’s long-term strategy — focused on flexibility, innovation, and efficient energy management — represents a strong and relevant direction in today’s energy landscape.
Turn your energy assets into a revenue stream by optimizing flexibility, storage, and consumption in real time.
